Our commercial contract experts have extensive commercial experience, built up over many years, of acting for clients across a wide variety of sectors, whether as customers and suppliers. Our lawyers take the time to understand our clients, their business models and their commercial drivers and challenges and we often follow and support our clients as their businesses expand beyond the UK.
We provide advice and support at every stage of the contract lifecycle, from procurement and competitive tendering stage, structuring and drafting, through to negotiation, review and conclusion.
We collaborate with specialists across other areas of the firm - including IP, data and technology, corporate tax and incentives, competition, regulatory, employments and pensions - to provide an integrated service that meets our client's requirements.
Whether it's a ground-breaking project or business as usual contractual activity, we cover it - our services cover both simple and complex contractual requirements. General commercial contract work includes distribution, service structures, export, equipment supply/lease and supply chains, or agreements for events, marketing, sponsorship, partnering arrangements and joint ventures.
On outsourcing, we have advised clients on large strategic business process and technology outsourcings and partnering arrangements, acting for both customers and suppliers, and covering a wide variety of sectors, including financial services, the public sector, aviation and engineering and facilities management, where we have led on deals both in the UK and internationally.
Where public sector contracting is involved our expertise in contracts is supplemented by procurement expertise: and for buying authorities and bidders we can advise on procurement strategy, legal compliance and dispute resolution.
We are part of a wider financial services group that brings together specialist lawyers from across the firm with expertise and experience in all areas of the financial services sector, including: Banking, Funds & Investment Management, Commercial Services, Retail Banking & Regulated Finance, Corporate Crime and Investigations, Regulatory, and Financial Services Litigation.
We know how to work as part of a wider client team. We work with clients' in-house experts and external multi-disciplinary teams on a daily basis and our lawyers are able to draw on their own significant experience from working in-house.
